In the early 2000s, Ghana Link Limited, one of Ghana’s emerging cargo inspection companies, commissioned Project Logic to design a specialised industrial complex at the Tema Port to accommodate a heavy-duty cargo scanning system.

As one of the country’s principal gateways for international trade, the port required infrastructure capable of supporting the efficient inspection of incoming cargo. The complex was therefore designed to house the scanner used to examine cargo containers entering the country, while also providing facilities for related operations, including physical cargo inspections and associated administrative activities.

Project Logic developed a purpose-designed facility that responded to the operational requirements of the scanning equipment while providing an efficient environment for the company’s wider inspection activities.

Construction of the project was successfully completed in 2004, with the cargo scanning operation commencing that same year.
